Use the Greenways

As areas reserved for pedestrian traffic and environmental preservation, greenways provide opportunities for education, walking, biking, and jogging. Many greenways hold events to involve the public, such as 5K runs, Earth Day celebrations and more. A greenway is a perfect way to get your friends and families involved and to promote a healthy lifestyle of well-being. Come and join us at a greenway near you!

The Salisbury Greenway has five sections that include the Prescott Connector, Forest Hills, Memorial Park Loop, Kelsey Scott Park and Brenner Avenue. The largest of these sections is Brenner Avenue beginning at Harris Teeter Shopping Center continuing 3,900 feet towards West Horah Street. One of the perks to the Salisbury Greenway is that it offers a year round Supervised Walking Program for your fitness needs.

The Concord Greenway is four miles long with two sections, the Village Greenway and the Harold B. McEachern Greenway. The McEachern Greenway connects McGee Park and Les Myers Park along Branchview Drive SE. Both greenway sections include picnic shelters, life trail fitness stations and drinking fountains for you and your pet.
